They Picked the WRONG Woman to Rob! 🚨 | Connecticut Car Wash Shooting
This is a powerful reminder that crime can have life-changing consequences in an instant.
According to reports surrounding this Westport, Connecticut incident, a 50-year-old woman, Ellie Thornton, was attacked during an attempted robbery while she was washing her car at a car wash by 2 teenage males - Jasper Bell, 17, and Quinn Mercer, 16.
After suffering serious injuries to her face, the situation reportedly escalated when the attackers attempted to take another vehicle. The woman had a firearm and ultimately shot the two men involved. Both died from their injuries.
The case went to court, and she was reportedly not charged after authorities determined the shooting was justified as self-defense.
Whatever your views on guns, crime, or self-defense, the underlying lesson is simple: Don't attack people.
Don't rob people.
Don't steal.
You never know how a situation is going to unfold—or who you're choosing to victimize.
A crime that may have started with the expectation of an easy score ended with two people dead and a woman left to deal with the physical and emotional aftermath.
Crime doesn't always end the way criminals expect.
