He Crashed the Scooter... Then Tried to Outrun the Cops!

⁣A suspected scooter thief learned the hard way that escaping police is often much easier in theory than in practice.

In this video, officers pursue a scooter rider who appears determined to avoid arrest. As the chase moves toward a crowded public area, police act to stop the pursuit before innocent bystanders are placed at risk.

The suspect's getaway comes to an abrupt end when the scooter crashes into a guardrail, leaving the vehicle heavily damaged. Undeterred, he jumps up and tries the next phase of his escape plan—running.

Unfortunately for him, there were plenty of officers nearby, and the foot chase didn't last very long before the handcuffs came out.
