⁣Sylvester Stallone wasn't pulling any punches when he introduced Donald Trump at the America First Policy Institute Gala.


The legendary creator and star of Rocky and Rambo compared Trump's political journey to the transformation of Rocky Balboa and called Trump a “really mythical character.” Then he delivered the line that grabbed everyone's attention: “Guess what? We got the second George Washington!”


Stallone's comparison was rooted in the enormous historical impact he believes George Washington had when he defended a young American nation against the world's most powerful military force. In Stallone's telling, Washington couldn't have known at the time just how dramatically his actions would change the future of America—and he sees a similar historic significance in Trump's political comeback.


The Rocky connection makes the message even more interesting. Stallone described Rocky as a “chosen person” who would go through a metamorphosis and change lives, drawing a direct parallel to what he believes Trump has done.
