⁣Many people don't realize that remaining silent during a police encounter is a constitutional right. In this law short, a lawyer explains why some officers become frustrated when citizens choose not to answer questions and instead exercise their right to remain silent.

The discussion covers common police interview techniques, including friendly conversation and casual questioning, and why legal experts often advise people to think carefully before volunteering information.

Topics include:

✔ The right to remain silent
✔ Police questioning tactics
✔ Consensual encounters vs. detention
✔ Constitutional rights
✔ The importance of knowing the law
✔ Understanding police interactions
✔ Citizen rights and responsibilities

Knowing your rights can help you make informed decisions during encounters with law enforcement.

This video is for educational and informational purposes only and is not legal advice.

⁣Bay Area Transparency visits a probation office to document and record activity in a publicly accessible government building. Despite the camera being in plain sight, staff repeatedly question why he is recording and ask for identification.

The interaction raises familiar questions often discussed in First Amendment auditing circles:

✔ Recording in publicly accessible areas
✔ Government transparency and accountability
✔ Requests for identification
✔ Public photography rights
✔ Freedom of the press
✔ Public officials interacting with citizens
✔ Constitutional rights in public spaces

Watch as Bay Area Transparency calmly explains his position while documenting the encounter and exercising rights protected by the Constitution.

What are your thoughts? Should citizens be required to identify themselves simply because they are recording in a public place? ID is just like crack to these cops.

This video is presented for educational, documentary, and discussion purposes.

⁣In this reaction and commentary video, we take a look at a stage presentation where the crowd enthusiastically chants "THEY! THEM! ENERGY!" right along with the speaker. The narrator can't believe what he's watching as the audience seems to repeat every word without question.

Is this motivation, group psychology, crowd mentality, or just pure comedy gold? Watch the footage and decide for yourself.

Drop a comment below and let us know:

What was going through these people's minds?
Have you ever seen a crowd act like this?
Is this inspiration or imitation?
We have a room available at the ward...

⁣THE CAMERA ISN'T THE PROBLEM… THE REACTION IS! 😂🇺🇸

The Welcome to This World / The Freedom Team is back with another First Amendment audit—this time in Birmingham, Michigan.

They're recording from a public space when the reactions start coming. Some people wave. 👋Some simply ignore the cameras. And then there are the people who apparently decide: “I'M GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT CAMERA!” 😂

What looks like the manager went out on the sidewalk, and grabbed the auditors camera, and that was a no no!

Before long, you've got people confronting the auditors, trying to block the camera's view, banging on the glass, and generally making a bigger spectacle than the people doing the recording. And then comes the unforgettable moment… They do CAM Backs, and shut the blinds.

“Well, if you're going to record me… LET ME GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO RECORD!” 😂

⁣That's the fascinating thing about these audits: the auditors are exercising their 1st Amendment Constitutional right to record from a public location, while the reactions from the people being filmed can sometimes become the most entertaining part of the entire encounter.

Some people wave.

Some people walk away.

And some people turn a simple camera into a full-blown production. 😂

🎥 ACTUAL FOOTAGE
🇺🇸 FIRST AMENDMENT AUDIT
😂 UNEXPECTED REACTIONS

Watch the footage and decide for yourself whether the cameras—or the reactions to the cameras—are creating the bigger spectacle!
